by braineydude. Playing with friend on different server issue. (PvE) Hi everyone, I am aware that awhile back Guild Wars 2 created a mega-server for everyone in PvE. My friend and I are on different servers, but according to what I have learned about mega servers along with past experience, we should still be able to play together.

1) World vs World. You can only play with your server in WvW (and the servers linked to yours). If you want to play with friends consistently you'll need to be on their server. **HOWEVER. Last I read this will be changed to be guild-based so just being in the same guild as your friends will be enough, once it's implemented. 2) NA vs Europe servers.

Choosing a Server. Choosing a server in Guild Wars 2 is essential and should be given thought. It affects one of the three aspects of the game: World vs World (WvW for short).
