Oh, OK. I read on another Reddit post that the way backwards compatibility works on Xbox One/Series S/X is that it downloads a compatible version from the store and uses the disc as a key. So if GTA IV did things the same way, then it would seem impossible to play the original version on anything but an Xbox 360.
